The Light Between Oceans 9/12/16 Spectrum
This film was gorgeous, the views of the sea, the sky, of the lighthouse and from the lighthouse-wow, such a beautiful place to be. I never read this book, but the story - of the lighthouse keeper and his wife finding a baby in a boat and keeping her as their own - was engaging, kept my interest till the end, and it was a long movie at 2h13m. A moral dilemma to be sure, and a love story, and more decisions to be made...the acting was great, Michael Fassbender, Alicia Vicander, Rachel Weisz, all wonderful. The story itself, one bad decision after another, isn't the best thing I've seen this year, but this gentle little sweetness of a girl, Florence Clery, was just too much to miss.
