Rainbow Rowell writes funny quirky books - She's written two YA books, Fangirl and Eleanor & Park (which I haven't read) and two (regular ?) books, which I have read and enjoyed.

Attachments is her most recent book - it was one of the books I read on my beach vacation - it was the story of a guy hired to monitor computer usage in a company - which included reading emails. Of course he gets a crush on the girl whose email he's monitoring...It was a super quick read, light and funny and cute. Perfect for the beach.

I just finished Landlines - kind of a silly premise - plug in the old fashioned rotary phone and surprise! you can talk to your husband back in the past, when he was just your boyfriend and you were so in love...still, it was fun, made me laugh in parts, and was just generally sweet. Another good fast read.
