Me too, Friend

First grade cutie comes in with a leftover Valentine. "You can give it to your sister or brother". How nice. Next kid, also first grader, comes in and proceeds to pick up the Valentine from my desk, takes the tattoo out and looks for water to put it on his arm. Me: That's not yours. Him: Finders keepers, losers weepers. Me: It wasn't lost if it's mine and it's on my desk.

Him: I hate people.

20th Century Women 1/26/16 Spectrum

With all the great movies out there right now, I wouldn't have picked this one to see first, but movie date has already seen everything else - wow!  Anyway, it was good enough, entertaining. Elle Fanning is gorgeous to watch, but even more so is Annette Bening. There's one scene where the kid is reading a passage to her, about women being invisible, which did make me think - I'll have to look up what that book was and read it for myself..

Craig Finn Living Room Tour

Sometimes I am lazy about going back out once I get home. I love my nest! So I have been known on occasion to abandon a ticket and stay home. Holy Jesus I am so glad I resisted the call of pajamas and went out. It was intimate in a fantastic space and I was blown away by the new songs. BUT I am jotting this down on the iPad and nothing posts correctly, so I will finish this later, with pics. We all want the same things it's true.

Manchester by the Sea at Hudson Movieplex 12/27/16

I like Casey Affleck. I remember Gone Baby Gone as being great, although I have no recollection of what that movie was even about...regardless, I wanted to see this film because he was in it.  What a tragic story! Late in the film, the Michelle Williams character meets him on the street and says 'I should burn in hell for the things I said to you' - which is the scene on the film poster - glad I had a tissue.
