Moonlight at the Spectrum, sometime in November
Heartbreaking and the idea that it could be any one of my kids.

This was a wonderful little film, the Ethiopian entry to the Best Foreign Language Film category for the Academy Awards. A boy and his lamb, the sacrifices you make for what you love.
I like Dev Patel but for some reason I didn't think I'd like this movie. I was wrong. It was really good, such an emotional ending. Recommend!
I like the way she writes, each chapter from a different character's perspective, and while it was longish at 356 pages, it just moved right along. Plus it was the second book I've read this year that used the word opprobrium. Elizabeth had some things to say that resonated with me.
I liked her last book, The Vacationers, too.
Read this ages ago, on the beach in August, which this book was perfect for. Easy fast read, with a few things to think about. She's older, mostly happily married but maybe looking for something, and in recovery.
