I love Hey Marseilles. From my first listen prior to Newport Folkfest '13, I have loved their sound, the lush strings, the literate lyrics. I saw them burnin' it up in the kiddie tent there and I've been hooked since. This is the first time they've come within striking distance since, and it was a great birthday present. (Thank you!)

They played a lot of new songs - although the next record won't be coming out till Fall.

Then Milo Greene. I didn't know them, and did try to listen to them prior to the show, but didn't get drawn in - all the songs sound the same to me, even seeing them performed live.

There was an AVID fan right in front, dancing and ecstatic to see them - she was 9 years old, and the band was awesome to her!
