Took a ride around NYC with a few of my closest friends...

I think this picture is only of the first wave...

It was fun. I'm glad I did it, but...

There was a lot more bike-walking than I anticipated. I knew there were 32K people signed up, but I was expecting to be riding - continually - maybe slowly - but pedaling all the way. That is not how it was, plus an extended stop here

Is this Brooklyn or Queens? I don't remember but we were stopped for quite awhile, with the NYPD helicopter hovering overhead. As the delay dragged on, I started getting weirded out about being in that crowd, in the middle of the street, like a sitting duck for craziness to happen. After that, I had the slightest hum of apprehension about something happening - not violence, but some knucklehead bike-crashing into me...
