Epilogue by Will Boast
Another book from a list - This time 'Best Non-Fiction Books of 2014' (Buzzfeed). It's an indie book, and when I tried to find it at the library, it wasn't owned in the local system. So I emailed the library to ask where else I might request it (besides the bookstore, of course!). I didn't get an answer, but the next time I went, Epilogue was being held for me. The library bought it for me to borrow. That is cool. (Also, it's a return on any late fees I may have paid...)
Ok, now to the book...Will Boast lost his mom, then his brother, then his dad, and was the only one left, at the age of 24. Then he found out he had 2 brothers from his father's first marriage, which had been kept secret. This book was a fairly quick, easy read - surprisingly light, especially given the subject matter, and in my opinion, that's what kept it from being great. The book never drew me in on any emotional level and that is the tragedy here.
