Lena Finkle's Magic Barrel

Slate did a review of this book, then I remembered I generally suck at graphic novels. It's so hard for me to engage.  I carried this book to Austin and back without ever opening it, kept it overdue, renewed it, overdue again, etc.  Finally I opened it long enough to get involved in the story...whaddya know, there's heartbreak involved.  She might have been dating the Asshole Laureate...

He seemed surprised that I didn't just let him go.

Talking to the old one about the new one would send anyone over the edge...so maybe my story ends in a little more apocalyptic manner.
